Mouse problem

I have Trust 3011A Wireless optical deskset mouse and
keybord and use Debian  sarge.  I tried in XF86Config-4
....

but xev did't react when I press the additional sided
buttons

I would like to tell me what is the problem with this  and
where I am wrong.Thank you.
