the same as apache's conf.d directory.  this is in fact already
supported by upstream (a ./configure option), i really don't see
why we haven't already started supporting it and i filed a bug
some time ago....

as some other folks brought up, wwwconfig-common is a hack that
arose from necessity because there wasn't anything else out
there to do it.  ola himself is open to finding a better way to
do things.
