Sorry, but as Debian developer I'm in the first instance responsible in
Debian distribution related bugs not in kernel driver problems.
Forwarding bug reports related to the kernel driver is the best I can do
for the people.
Do you think that Herbert Xu who package the kernel-image-* is
responsible for kernel bugs? Nobody would package software then.

You are absolutely right!
I spend several hours to get the driver working with the kernel-source-*
packages together with INITRD. At the end everybody using this package I
intent to prepare is able to do the same job in severam minutes not hours!
Why not save time of other people too? More then 10k easy to install and
use packages are the big advantage of Debian.

I think I'm not the only one person who made worse expirience in binary
driver compatibility between different distributions. In the case you
have to create your own kernel with the corresponding driver. This
package will help you doing that.

Yes. I received full permission to bundle any Promise related source
code and binary files in the Debian Linux distribution by Jordan Rhody,
