Your way of dealing with bugs is the best example for the difference between well maintained packages and packages just kept up to date. Though you fixed some bugs in the last months, everything you could not solve directly seems to be just lying around. #140974 was filed 2 and a half years ago and still waits for the first maintainer reaction. At least you could have forwarded it to upstream!
