motion - V4L movement detector

Dear all,
this is my first time post, and very grad to join the list !!

Does anyone ever port the Motion package (http://motion.sourceforge.net) 
successfully and run beautifully on ARM platform? If so, which 
cross-compiled libs do you put on the platform ?

My platfrom:
motion
motion.conf
mpeg_encode ( ffmpeg (libavcodec) will cause segment fault *_*..)
libcurl
libz
libjpeg

My problem:
1.After mpeg_encode makes the mpeg file, then motion stops .......
2.simple webcam seems not work, coz when I use browser  and try to 
access live stream, then "segment fault" appears , motion stops
