As opposed to what? Kernel mode?

Ahem... Server applications w/o a GUI are not _that_ uncommon in
Unix-like systems.

Irrlevant for Debian. At least for now. ;-)

Don't put that into the description.

Considering that this is not going to be the first ftp server in
Debian, tell people what makes it special, if you want your package to
be widely used.
