It wasn't really his responsibility to. I'm been in the NM process for
about two years now while maintaining a relatively large number of
packages and there's a few fair amount of people in #debian-devel and on
pkg-gnome who do trust that I know what I'm doing. I really do
appreciate all the people who regularly sponsor my packages without as
much red tape as a regular NM would have to go through. This incident is
just a minor hiccup that's been blown out of proportion, and there's not
really much more blame that can be doled out (or point to doing so).
