Could you please use the In-Reply-To: header? If you're reading mails
via the list archives, then taking the Message-Id: header and replacing
the header name with In-Reply-To: should suffice. Otherwise, I'm not
sure why KMail isn't just doing it for you (it seems to for other KMail
users), but perhaps you could investigate for the benefit of the rest of
us confused bystanders.
