Some of the people/institution I would like to mention here:
Suresh R warrior ( http://motorbreathing.tripod.com )
Kannan S
REC calicut ( http://www.nitc.ac.in/nitc/index.jsp

Well now the release.

The packages are available at http://www.openssi.org/contrib/debian/openssi-1.0.0-rc2 Please go through the document http://www.openssi.org/contrib/debian/debian.txt before installing.

I guess Debian OpenSSI is now ready to be a part of official OpenSSI release. Brian ? Any plans of making debian releases as a part of official OpenSSI release. ?

Chirag,

Can you tar up the contrib/debian/openssi-1.0.0-rc2 directory and do the release procedure with it? Create a new package on our SF site called "OpenSSI for Debian" and add the tarball as the 1.0.0-rc2 release under it. Also, add a Downloads subsection on our website called "OpenSSI 1.0.0-rc2 for Debian". You can delete the subsection for vanilla GNU/Linux since it's no longer necessary.

Finally, try creating a documentation page for debian.txt. You can do this by copying it into frags/docs. Then copy install-binary.shtml to install-debian.shtml and edit it appropriately. You'll also need a install-debian-pf.shtml for the printer-friendly format.

Let me know if you have any questions.

Thanks,

Brian
