Bug#230004: general: cal and locales

Package: general
Severity: wishlist

The cal program installed from bsdmainutils can not present months with
monday as the first day of the week. I've seen in the package wishlist some
closed bugs about this matter without being solved by maintainer's.

For now, cal is a symlink to ncal...

I've seen as well that sources of util-linux seem to include a newer
version of cal, which reads information from locales, and I think it
would solve this wish (it should be checked).

You could:

a) install the cal util from util-linux.
b) update sources of bsdmainutils with util-linux cal.
c) let the user to choose
d) nothing ;-)
