d-i fails on eepro100

Hi,

I tried to install using the installer (01-02-04) from

http://people.debian.org/~joeyh/d-i/installer-i386/current/images/
(also tried with the sjogren floppies from 01-07)
on an Asus A7V8X with an Athlon XP2500
http://usa.asus.com/mb/socketa/a7v8x/overview.htm

using bootfloppy-image.img, floppy-image.img and
net_drivers-image.img

However, my Intel eepro100 card:
Bus 0, device 14, function 0:
  Ethernet controller: Intel Corp. 82557/8/9 [Ethernet
Pro100] (rev 5).
was not able to be correctly inserted, preventing me
from installing the system. I got the following error:

# modprobe -v eepro100

without any arguments, both to the same effect.
