That seems to be a common virus feature nowadays. There's obviously no way
to deal with forged mail sent without ever passing the d.o servers, but
for those that do, it may be worthwhile to do some filtering on it.

Nope. But I have received forged emails from a virus pretending to be
someone on another mailing list I'm subscribed to. It even quoted an
actual message body posted to the mailing list, probably as a way to sneak
past mail filters.
