A translation is only ready, if the translator and three reviewer look at the translation and the English text and all four say 'this translation is ok'. (Not all translations are pass the reviewing process yet, some languages make a lot of reviewings (like fr), some others only start with this process.) IMHO this eight eyes should find bugs better than the maintainer, who don't speak the languages.
