The security archive are updates to the stable archive. The stable
archive does not get updated on a regular or even semi-regular basis.
It only gets updated periodically, when a new release of stable is made.
This is a very formal event. Updates that have accumulated in the
security archive may be moved over into the standard archive at this
time. Otherwise, they do not intermingle.

If in doubt, use the latest stable debian version of the software,
regardless of which archive (security or standard) it comes from.
