Bug#218002: ITP: libtre3 -- regexp matching library with approximate matching

Package: wnpp
Severity: wishlist

* Package name    : tre
  Version         : 0.5.3
  Upstream Author : Ville Laurikari
* URL:            : http://laurikari.net/tre/tre-0.5.3.tar.gz
* License         : GPL Version 2
  Description : regexp matching library with approximate matching

 TRE is a lightweight, robust, and efficient POSIX compliant regexp
 matching library with some exciting features such as approximate
 matching.

It's already in the queue in the new directory. I'm filing this bug
report for reference and completeness. If somebody wants to look at it,
I've put it here:

http://people.debian.org/~sanvila/tre

I'm packaging this because it's required by the most recent crm114
package, which I will probably adopt temporarily.

The source generates also a binary called agrep, which I have not
packaged yet because there is already a non-free packaged with the
same name. I plan to work with the maintainer of agrep to solve this
issue.

( To be safe, I've updated the libtool and automake stuff right in
  the initial upload, without waiting for FTBFS bugs :-)
