C was intended as 'Further Discussion'. Further discussion mean just
postpone the issue and is equivalent to 'do nothing' at this stage.
Of course, if you were proposing another solution (like D[ ] /etc/volatile)
it would be quite different.

Anyway, it is sad to see you prefer not to solve the issue than
conceding the directory name.
