Since this type of configuration script needs to be run every time after each
package installation, the script may be better run from some hook from
dpkg instead of postinst.  (I thought there is a way to do it but I can
not find it.)

Of course, as long as each package are concerned, these are user changes.
So upgrade implication needs to be carefully considered.
