IIRC, the difference between DODES and distcc is that DODES is
designed for cross compilation among different architecture (server:
ix86, target: sh), but distcc needs the same architecture.

DODES is useful for building binaries (like perl, or configure) on
slow architecture during porting the system to the new architecture.
Currently available for sh arch, though.
