If the patched cdrecord handles DVD burning (or if there are other free
alternatives), there's no reason to advertise non-free software.

It's not censorship (and it'd be nice to drop that argument; it's just
noise).  People can choose to run non-free stuff all they want; that's
irrelevant to the issue of Debian *promoting* it.  And we can point people
to /usr/share/doc just fine without promoting non-free software.
