Of course, but we should not forget that stupid/blind crusades often
caused more harm then good things. Personally, I allow every upstream
author to make a little bit advertisement for his other projects,
especially if they are neccessary to survive. There is lot of these: in
Gimp, in Cups, in mkreiserfs (Woody version). The message in cdrecord
does not bother many people, it appears only as part of the error
message when someones tries to burn on a DVD drive. As long there is no
dvdrecord package in Debian and someone convinces me that it works
better for our users, I would not change this message.
