Also, next time do your homework: at that time Marillat was distributing an ILLEGAL (mixed license) binary, thus violating every license that was around. We did not want that to happen, but Marillat had lots o'fun disregarding our mails. I won't start that discussion again, search mailinglist archives.. I'd like to hear your opinions about this "no I didn't receive any mails" fiasco instead. Ahem. Anyway: we support MPlayer being included in Debian - there is an ongoing thread on the development mailing list with Andrea Menucc, to sort out possible problems. libmp3lame's removal from Debian is very unfortunate, for users won't be able to use MEncoder which is the most complete non-MPEG2 encoder on (Earth..)
