These are not truetype fonts and do not have any anti-aliasing. They do not even work with Pango using the version of Xft provided in Debian. Keith Packard's website has Xft2 somewhere I think. Pango won't use a PCF font without it. What Jim's got is already packaged in Debian as xfonts-jmk. If Jim has TTF fonts I don't know about, I'd absolutely love to package them.
