That is because the front end does not do it for me; it requires a kernel
source tree, while building most modules only requires headers. Since
building modules alone doesn't really require any of the functionality of
make-kpkg, maybe we shouldn't add more complexity there, and instead create
a simple, standalone tool which only builds modules and not kernels. Then,
users running stock Debian kernels could just execute that tool after
upgrading to rebuild all of their modules against the headers in the
kernel-headers package.
