This has to to with libperl

Package: libperl5.8
Status: install ok installed
Priority: required
Section: libs
Installed-Size: 1072
Maintainer: Brendan O'Dea <bod@debian.org>
Source: perl
Version: 5.8.0-14
Depends: libc6 (>= 2.3.1-1)
Suggests: perl-base (= 5.8.0-14)

Rolling back to -13 works fine (for me).

Rebuilding the app with the new libperl did not help.

YMMV.
