The scanner drivers and frontends in Debian seem to be unmaintained. The maintainer, Kevin Dalley <kevind@rahul.net> have been missing for a long time. I've reported him as MIA to QA, but that did not fix the SANE packages. Is there anything more I can do to help improve the situation?
