package building problems

i just got a mail from the autobuilder telling me about building
problems of gjay_0.1.3-1(hppa/unstable). the problem reduces to this:

  dpkg-genchanges: failure: cannot read files list file: No such file
  or directory

it works on i386, and i haven't yet heard anything from any other
architecture.
