Check the facts. AFAICT, the original poster is no Debian Developer...

... and certainly didn't speak for the project in any way whatsoever.

The author of this software decided to change his license terms on the
fly to make them non-compatible to the DFSG even more than in the
beginning. Not a very professional attitude either, IMNSHO.
