I guess I still cannot understand what you mean.

Is this not sufficient?

I admit, I don't remember how I set up foomatic here. I _think_ I did
it with foomatic-configure and I just looked in
/usr/share/foomatic/db/source to find the right printer and driver
id's. I still can't see why it couldn't be done with OfficeJet 6XX.
