When that happens, mp32ogg simply becomes "contrib", that's all. (Who's to
say someone won't want to use it with a licensed mp3 decoder obtained from
elsewhere?)
I'm staying neutral on the quality issue. Yes, degrading mp3s into oggs
sucks. Yes users should have a choice. I don't know which is more important
in this case.

(Personally, I'll be re-ripping my remaining small collection of mp3s from
my CDs in ogg format and simply delete any mp3s leftover after that.)
