I compared the contents of the CMap directory in xpdf-japanese and the
cmap-adobe-japan1 packages. xpdf-japanese contains a few additional
maps. Also, the maps in the xpdf package are dated 2001 while the
cmap-adobe-japan1 package's files are dated 1998.

If the cmap package can be updated it may be possible to remove the maps
from the xpdf-japanese package. Similarly for the other xpdf-* language
packages.
