This would be a very interesting if not essential question for the
Debian internal projects Debian Junior and Debian Med. I currently
trying to find some solution for project users which are added to a
group using debconf which is implemented for testing purpose in the
med-common package.

This feature would also be very valuable to lindowsos. we do a lot of menu maintenance with regards to making the menus easier for new users and finding suitable names for applications that are easier to understand. With this mechanism in place, we could actually send patches back and have the work we do included in the standard distro. I'm sure noone would accept the simple menu/naming structure we choose now, but it would fit perfectly in a "Novice" role.

This would also allow people to change their role from Novice to Intermediate once they are more familiar with the system. It's a great way for the system to teach the user and allow for growth in the future.
