Correct.  But try to find that in the PAM documentation... it is not there.

And one on PAM for its lack of non-crappy really useful developer
documentation whatsoever. Unless 0.75 somehows fixes this, which I doubt.
Not even their fucking examples have code to update the process' env using
PAM's.
