One thing that might be in the new maintainers guide but maybe here.

* Handling multiple binary packages (and let debhelper do most of the
  job).
* Naming conventions for debhelper (probably new maintainers part).

I have written some for the first part (only in swedish though)
for a minor lecture I have held.
