You can either 'touch' it, or convince emacsen-common to do its post* thing first (ie remove gettext, install emacsen-common, and then install gettext again. Apparently emacsen-common is small. It just keeps track of the emacs flavours you (don't) have on your system. :-) This happened because gettext gained a dependancy on emacsen-common, but still tries to run its post* scripts before emacsen-common does. Have a look at the BTS for gettext.
