The "-B" option of dpkg-buildpackage does what you want to do.
If you don't have your GPG key on the sparc machine it works as follows:
sparc-machine> dpkg-buildpackage -B -uc -rfakeroot
sparc-machine> scp ...
your-machine> debsign ....changes
your-machine> dput/dupload ....changes
