What, you want the devel/people script to check the validity of the emails
in the Packages files?

[joy@auric:/org/ftp.debian.org/ftp/pool/main/k/kernel-source-2.4.5-r4k-kn04]% dpkg -I kernel-doc-2.4.5-r4k-kn04_20010801d_all.deb|grep Maint
Maintainer: Unknown Kernel Package Maintainer <unknown@unconfigured.in.etc.kernel-pkg.conf>
[joy@auric:/org/ftp.debian.org/ftp/dists/sid/main/binary-mipsel]% grep-dctrl -F Package -s Maintainer kernel-doc-2.4.5-r4k-kn04 < Packages
Maintainer: Unknown Kernel Package Maintainer <unknown@unconfigured.in.etc.kernel-pkg.conf>

There is nothing wrong with the script. It is merely showing what's in the
Packages files.

I will repeat that once again: there is nothing wrong with the script. It is
merely showing what's in the Packages files.
