Don't know what to do!



Yes, this is still about the quota bug.

I discovered that the symbol needed for quota and supposed to be defined in
the kernel is only defined for some archs not all. IMO this is a bug in the
kernel source, bur Herbert refuses to agree. He says I should stop using
kernel symbols. But quota needs these symbols since it interacts with the
kernel. It correctly includes the glibc header file not the kernel one.

But this does not hit the point IMO. If there is a bug in the kernel albeit
a smallish one, isn't it correct to report this via our bug tracking system?
Or do we have some sort of guidelines that say, this is not a bug?
