I boot off of software RAID1 with grub. No special magic, just
specify the underlying slice. In this case, lilo is "nicer" since you
can specify the md... But i still prefer grub for booting.
My "install" menu item installs to the boot block of both devices.
The menu boot items only boot off the primary disk, if I have to boot
off the secondary disk then I can edit the menu item and boot off the
second disk.
