I'm the Debian maintainer of LiveIce (xmms-liveice), a pretty neat pseudo-effect plugin that allows one to broadcast mp3 data to a IceCast server. I have a bit of a problem. I don't know C, and the LiveIce plugin is in dire need of debugging. http://bugs.debian.org/97216 has more specific info about where hanging and crashing occurs.
