accents in mutt

Does anyone know how to setup mutt so that I can get accented characters
correctly displayed ? Instead of this :

Pues eso, que me vendr\355a muy bien integrarme en el cluster, sobre todo para
                    ^^^^^^^
De paso mand\341ndote este mail compruebo que mutt firma bien con GPG xD.
           ^^^^^^ 

I use this in my .mutt/muttrc

set allow_8bit
set ascii_chars
set charset="iso-8859-1"

but it doesn't help.

I'm using framebuffer.
