You can add \pagebreak just before the heading to suggest that the page end
there.  This will produce lots of ugly space in the right-hand column, though,
which is exactly why it _really_ doesn't want to break the page there.  You
might consider tweaking the preceding paragraphs, making one of them a bit
longer.  Make sure you are finished editing before worrying about line/page
breaks, yada yada.

It would be wonderful if you could set it up such that each column referred to
a specific task (\pagebreak also breaks columns in two-column mode).  That
would make it very easy to find the desired section.  Consider tweaking your
overall font size if it doesn't break nicely.
