Well, I'm not familiar with internals of either package... It seems to me that
you'd need something like
if installed modperl then
Depends += modperl-x.y.z
somewhere in perl control files. Lather, rinse, repeat for all packages that
put stuff in @INC. Otherwise the problem will still be there, waiting for
someone to fall behind on <somepackage> maintenance. Or am I smoking something?
