It would have to use edit as its editor.  But you might call it
this_program_edits_ldap_entries_and_does_not_use_vi instead.

That won't help you because I will write an editor called ch that will be
even more ugly than vi and you will have to use it ;-)

To be serious, I think vildap is better than chldap because there are some
programs called chXXX like chgrp, chown, chfn and none of them calls an
editor but the viXXX commands do.  So vildap is more intuitive.
