Re: packaging conflicts
If the binary in question comes from the same source as yours,
then it's silly to have the same source tar ball twice in Debian
under different names. If you agree that it's a good idea to
split your package, you should do that, and he should file a bug
against ftp.debian.org to get his upload removed from the
archive.
If you simply remove your binary and let him package it
separately, it may get messy when the two source packages get out
of sync, version wise.
