lids on more archtiectures than i386

Hi there,
I think about limiting lids to i386 architectures because I don't think the
upstream author and me are able to support an architecture what we don't 
know and of what we haven't an example machiene to test the code.
Addittionaly to that I haven't ever seen lids working on another machiene
and I don't know anyone who had.
So what do you suggest me to do?
