Since there is a bunch of new kernel packages, I guess that somebody
is going to build PCMCIA modules for them, right?
I think that the latest version of the pcmcia-cs distribution should
go into stable. The current version (3.1.22-0.1potato) has a wvlan_cs
driver which does not work in Ad-Hoc mode (tested on 3 different
laptops).
I discussed this with pcmcia-cs's maintainer, Brian Mays, who feels
strongly that the latest version of pcmcia-cs should always go into
stable releases, but told me that he couldn't rebuild the packages for
stable.
Since I assume that somebody is going to have to build them anyway, I
think that it won't hurt using a more recent version.
