Why the source? dpkg-architecture -h gives you this:

|Known Debian Architectures are hurd-i386, powerpc, sh, alpha, sparc, i386, m68k, freebsd-i386, hppa, arm, mipsel, s390, shed, sparc64, mips
|Known GNU System Types are i386-gnu, powerpc-linux, sh-linux, alpha-linux, sparc-linux, i386-linux, m68k-linux, i386-freebsd, hppa-linux, arm-linux, mipsel-linux, s390-linux, shed-linux, sparc64-linux, mips-linux

So I would say, that the first lines gives a nice description of all
architectures that we support currently.

Especially since dpkg-architecture already generates this list, when you
name a unknown option on the command line. Oh, and could then please a
-h for help be implemented?
