Yes I did, but it does not help. Indeed the problem seems to be the
outdated netpbm version in Sid! Unfortunately, the maintainer refused
a NMU in October 2000, stating that he was just busy to update the
package himself (see BTS Bug #61908). This is nearly 6 months ago and
nothing happened!
Therefore, Steve could you pleeease update netpbm as soon as possible
(before the freeze!!!), or allow a NMU by Adrian Bunk who offered
already last year to do so. The outdated netpbm version is causing
severe problems for other maintainers that would like to package
programs (gocr, grunch, etc). It belongs to the responsabilities of
every maintainer to either fix such problems in due time, or to agree
to a NMU.
