Hi there, ok I have a concept for bringing lids into debian: I'll make a package lids-source-<kernelversion>. This package extracts the kernelpatch to /usr/src/kernel-patches/<arch>/<version>/, and the tar.gz to build the lidsadm in /usr/src/lidsadm-<kernelversion>. The third thing the script extracts is a perlscript (build-lids.pl i.e.). The user has to start the script, the script aks the user what kernelpatches to apply, applies the patches to the sourcedir, then it aks for the kind of config (config, menuconfig, xconfig) and starts ist. The user makes his config, when he finished, the script builds a kernelpackage and a lidsadmpackage. The script asks the user if it should install both. Please send me some feedback... so long...
