I have thought about this, yes. Right now it will be difficult
to do what you suggest due to the way mingw exists, but it is
a long term goal, and something I plan to look at as I become
more familiar with the issues of integrating it.
Expect me to come knocking on the door of gcc-maintainers at some
point in the future..
